Assault and Battery Case dismissed in Leominster Court

Leominster District Court

Client a 23 year old New Hampshire man was charged with assault and battery on his girlfriend.  The client was 23 years old and the girlfriend was 41 years old.  Client always maintained that he never touched his girlfriend and that she made up the allegation because she found out he had been cheating on her with another woman.  The alleged victim claimed that client came over to her apartment and demanded money and punched her in the head multiple times with a closed fist.  The alleged victim further claimed that client showed her a firearm and threatened her with it.  Strangely the alleged victim did not report this to police until over 48 hours later.  When the alleged victim met with police they observed no visible injuries to her.

Attorney Riddle had several alibi witnesses prepared to testify that the client was no where near the alleged victim at the time she claimed the assault occurred.  On the day of trial the alleged victim never showed up to testify and the case was dismissed.
