Templeton, MA man was charged with distribution of a class C drug

Client an 18 year old Templeton, MA man was charged with 6 separate counts of distribution of a class C drug, 6 counts of school zone violalation, 6 counts of conspiracy, and 6 counts of unlawful wiretap. The school zone charges each carrying minimum mandatory jail time and all 24 charges were felonies. Local police executed two search warrants on client’s residence and a laptop computer he owned. The bulk of the charges came from evidence discovered on the laptop computer, which revealed the client had audio and video recorded drug transactions of him dealing drugs to his friends.

Client was a young man who had been an honor roll student, president of his class and three sport athlete in high school and then after becoming addicted to prescription medication went down the wrong path and started dealing drugs.

After carefully analyzing the case and discussing it with the Commonwealth Attorney Riddle was able to negotiate a deal where 18 of the 24 charges were dismissed and the client was placed on probation for a period of time. The client avoided jail time and any felony convictions. If the client completes the probationary period without any difficulty, the 6 remaining charges will be dismissed.
